I have just returned from a week in Samos, this hotel was far better then the 2 star rating, cleaners were in every day, sheets changed on the Monday,I have been to others... read more places and if you stay a week the sheets aren't changed The girls who managed the bar were lovely, best bacon sandwich .
Arrived on the Thursday and on the Friday woke with a painful back, beds alitte hard for me,had a word with "Mrs Evelin"(the owner) and had a topper put on the bed,no trouble no charge. All in all a very nice hotel and lovely people, than you all.

I stayed at Evelin one week and I most say big thank you. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. The place are very clean. Yeah people complain about... read more the beds (everywhere) just ask for a thicker blanket and voila problem solving. They make good food here and you also have your own kitchen so you can make yourself dinner etc. You feel home here. Everything you need is close by (ATM, supermarket, beach and 5 euro in a taxi to Pythagoreio, if you don’t want to walk).
I been to a lot of hotels and I don’t get why this little place only have 2 stars, in my opinion it should be a 3 stars. There is nothing to complain about. I can’t wait to visit you again. THANK YOU Alexandra and Anastasia!!!!
Stayed with two friends for a week at the Evelin Hotel and really enjoyed it. I had a fully modernised ground floor apartment (46), my friends had a less modernised... read more third floor apartment (22). Loving the randomised room numbering system which must pre-date Pythagoras surely! Both apartments were sea/airport facing.
The hotel offers a glimpse of rural Samos life. While we were there they were laying out the grapes under netting on the tennis court to ripen under the hot sun before sending them on to turn into this season's wine, hopefully the sweet and delicious muscat. Not only grapes grow in abundance within the hotel grounds, there's also lemons, limes, pomegranites around the well-maintained pool area with ample sunbeds.
The real star of the hotel is it's informality and its people, from the cheerful welcome at reception, to the lovely friendly bar staff. Maid service is seven days a week, fridge is free and always-on, aircon an optional extra. Seems a bit random if rooms have BBC World News or not, but can always catch up on the latest Brexit shenanigans via the free wifi anyways.
There's a well-stocked supermarket 200 metres along the road to the left. The lovely harbour town of Pythagorion is 30 minutes walk along the roaf to the left, passing some fascinating antiquities along the way. Taxi back from town is a standard 5 euros. Airport transfer time is 2 minutes!
Only real negative, for some people maybe, is the proximity to a major road junction on one side of the hotel and the airport on the other side. We didn't find either much of a distraction, tho can imagine there are those who would.
I whole heartedly recommend the Evelin Hotel and its lovely staff for a warm welcome to Samos, whether travelling solo or as part of a group.
