We were one of the first guests to arrive at Evelin after being closed for a year due to the Corona pandemic. We were received very warmly and with... read more great enthusiasm. We stayed in a 1 room apartment. We don't need unnecessary luxury on holiday and this apartment had everything we needed. Clean rooms, lovely shower, small kitchenette with enough necessities, spacious balcony, and certainly a plus: wonderful beds. The complex also has a fantastic swimming pool in a beautifully decorated and well-kept garden. At the swimming pool a cozy bar where we drank a Greek coffee in the morning and a glass of Ouzo in the evening. With the nicest and sweetest staff you can imagine. We felt very welcome.
For us, Hotel Evelin was the perfect location to discover beautiful Samos. We had rented a car and from the airport you can reach the accommodation within 5 minutes. You will not be bothered by air traffic at all. We even thought it was a great advantage to be so close to the airport.
Do you want a relaxing holiday, in a well-maintained apartment complex with fantastic staff, and a good base from which to discover the beautiful versatile Samos. Go to Evelin! Recommended More

Nice hotel with renovated bathrooms (very modern). The cleaners do an amazing job, rooms cleaned every day and linen and towels changed regularly. Alexandra on reception is friendly, cheery and... read more very helpful.
Snack bar is also good with a pool table and table tennis with friendly staff. The pool was never overly busy and plenty of beds which you put out yourself. Some of the older beds were damaged though so if the newer ones were all taken the old ones weren’t great and you had to choose the best of a bad lot.
25 minute walk into town which is pedestrianised down to the harbour. Loads of tavernas and bars to choose from. We tended to eat away from the front though. Lots of jewellery shops and clothes shops. There’s plenty to have a wander round in an evening. The beach is about 15 minutes away with plenty of sun loungers and the FAB hotel has the best beds, so comfortable. €6 for 2.
Couple of gripes. There weren’t enough coat hangers in the open wardrobe and the old loungers were in a poor state.

I’ve seen a few reviews saying that you’re far from the beach - you’re not! It’s a lovely stroll to a great beach which is long enough that you can fine a quiet spot if that’s what you want. There’s also a fabulous supermarket a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Pythagorio is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel and is lovely - lots of lovely places to shop, a great museum and plenty of places for coffee, drinks, snacks and meals.
As a solo traveller, I felt very safe - I didn’t feel awkward sitting in the bar on my own as everyone was friendly (and the hotel has plenty of books you can borrow).
I went to the beach twice a day and relaxed by the pool or on my balcony in between. I explored Pythagorio, walked miles and had the most AMAZING time More
